Be Alert Against the 'Kidnap Pipi Gang'

After the story broke out from ABS-CBN News a few days ago, authorities are scrambling to get a break in apprehending a syndicate ring that kidnaps children with disabilities. They could have gotten the needed break yesterday after a deaf honor student nicknamed "Aubrey" came forward and related the harrowing experience she had to endure in the hand of this soulless gang of hoodlums.

According to "Aubrey", the 'Kidnap Pipi Gang' usually targets children with disabilities and made them into sex slaves and vagrants that roam the streets looking for opportunities that the syndicate can take advantage of.

Another victim earlier came forward and reported that she was sexually molested for three months after she was forcefully dragged near her school in Commonwealth, Quezon City. Nicknamed ‘KC’, the victim also informed the authorities that there were eight other children that are being held right now by the syndicate.

"After their underclothes were taken, they were dragged to the cells without clothes and were forced outside by pulling their hairs," KC said.

The Philippine National Police (PNP) was alarmed by this horrific revelation that they were compelled to form a task group to address the senseless crime against children immediately.

A helpline desk was also formed and is asking anyone to call the following numbers if they have any information about the grisly operation of this air-wasting gang: 09197777377 or 4103213.

"You're encouraged to report to us (police), especially sa mga women's desk sa mga istasyon, we will give them actually more attention especially on investigation, interviews to victims," said Senior Supt. Theresa Ann Cid, chief of the Women and Children Protection Center of the PNP.
