78 Percent Pinoys Trust PNOY

PNoy Trust Rating
Avid critics of President Benigno Aquino III must be squirming on their sits right now after latest reports from Pulse Asia survey showed that 78 percent Filipinos trust him and approve the way he handled his job.

The Pulse Asia survey, conducted from 31 August 31 to 7 September 2012, showed almost eight in 10 Filipinos approve of President Aquino’s performance in the past 3 months and express trust in him. Again, let me repeat, 78 percent of Filipinos trust President Aquino.

Only 4 percent of Filipinos are critical of President Aquino’s work and distrust him while 18 percent are ambivalent on these matters.

The President’s 78 percent approval rating is just one percentage point below his all-time high of 79 percent in October 2010, a few months after he took office. It is also an 11-percentage point increase from his approval rating last May.

The highest increase in Aquino’s approval ratings came from Metro Manila residents, with an increase of 18 percentage points.

The Pulse Asia survey is based on a sample of 1,200 representative adults 18 years old and above. It has a ± 3% error margin at the 95% confidence level.

Subnational estimates for each of the geographic areas covered in the survey (i.e., Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao) have a ± 6 percent error margin, also at 95 percent confidence level.
