Tortured Girl Found by a Good Samaritan in Malaysia

Malaysian Girl
I am not a Malaysian nor have visited Malaysia before, but I feel that I should strongly support the efforts by authorities there right now to apprehend and punish whoever was responsible for the sexual assault, starving and possible torture of a four-year old girl. Authorities believed that the perpetrator or perpetrators used pliers, spanners and screwdrivers to inflict barbaric pain on the young girl.

The extreme case of inhumane treatment inflicted on a child is a story that one wishes not to have read anywhere in this world.

A photograph of the girl, released by city police to seek the public's help identify her and track down her parents, who are the prime suspects, showed that the young girl had:
  • Several nasty scars on her nose, forehead and lips;
  • Old scars all over her body which a medical report suggested had been caused by abuse over at least six months.
A police source said that the initial medical report also showed injuries to her private parts. She is currently being treated at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital.

According to city police chief Datuk Mohmad Salleh,said the girl was found wandering aimlessly along Jalan Air Jerneh in Setapak on 9 October 2013 before a 41-year-old passer-by took pity on her. The anonymous person decided to helped he when she started crying while asking for food.

The source said: "The man told us she looked frightened, pale and weak and kept crying and asking for food. He fed the girl before handing her over to the police. WWe believe she was not dumped on the streets by her parents, but instead ran away from home as she couldn’t stand being abused."
