Bangkok hospitals are using the shields on newborns in their maternity wards to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

CDC: Pregnant Women Should Not Drink Alchohol

A Center for Disease (CDC) study revealed that "more than 3 million US women are at risk of exposing their developing baby to alcohol because they are drinking, having sex, and not using birth control to prevent pregnancy."

Drinking alcohol during pregnancy is "associated with a range of complications and poor reproductive outcomes and can cause fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASDs), which are characterized by lifelong physical, behavioral, and intellectual disabilities," the CDC report said, adding that exposure to alcohol in the womb is one of the leading preventable causes of intellectual disability in children.

This 14-Month Old Girl Is Perfectly Healthy

A pair of proud parents are currently up in arms after an innocent photo of their 14-month-old daughter has been subjected to a slew of negative comments online from two online trolls who does not deserve the air they breath.

Redditor Zmegz posted an image of his daughter on the site's Daddit group. As he was posting it, he accidentally also uploaded it to Imgur, according to his wife. To their dismay, negative comments about the toddler's appearance started pouring in from commenters who cold be two of the ugliest people in this planet.

Study Shows That There is No "Gay Gene"

A scientific UCLA study challenging the societal "born this way" dogma of homosexuality has already been gaining traction in the public media since its presentation at an annual scientific conference a few days ago.

The twin study conducted at the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles, finds that homosexuality is triggered by environmental factors after birth. The research uses an algorithm covering epigenetic markers from several genomic sites of 37 sets of identical male twins to predict homosexuality in males, with 70 percent accuracy, as presented at the American Society of Human Genetics 2015 Annual Meeting in Baltimore.

One mother is making headline on social networking sites and her photo is going viral after staring down a woman who gawked at her as she breastfed her son. Ashley Kaidel was nursing her son in a restaurant when she noticed another diner was obviously judging her for opting to breastfeed in public without using a cover-up.

Kaidel, a 24-year-old mum from Florida, posted a photo of herself on Facebook staring down the onlooker while continuing to feed her son and it's quickly become one of the most talked about breastfeeding snapshots of all time. In fact, with almost 400,000 likes and over 120,000 shares, it could well be the most viral breastfeeding pic to date.

Tired of seeing inconsiderate parents use public facilities to disgust everyone around them? One hotel in England found a polite way to deal with these nuisance by posting notices ordering parents to keep infants off of benches in the changing area of the resort's pool.

The sign was labeled a "Polite notice," and many clients praised the hotel management for appropriately putting rude parents in their proper place.

To all mothers out there: you may want to check you baby wipes the next time you clean you child's backside because several brands of the product were just pulled off from shelves after the packaging were discovered to contain a type of bacteria that is often antibiotic-resistant.

Nutek Disposables of Pennsylvania has voluntarily recalled its baby wipes, which are manufactured under 10 brand names, since the discovery.

According to Pepsi-Cola Products Philippines, Inc. (PCPPI) President Furqan Ahmed Syed, the difference that proper nutrition makes in a young child is immeasurable. Sometimes, the best intention turns out to be the worse decision ever. And no one suffers more from the mistake made by incompetent adults than the affected child. Alex and Anna Nikolayev know this and definitely their 6-month old son Sammy witness it as well.

It all started in 24 April 2013 when Alex and Anna took Sammy, to Sutter Memorial Hospital in Sacramento, Calif., with flu-like symptoms. Baby Sammy was born with a heart condition, and they knew he would need surgery eventually.
