Iowa Bans "Sanctuary Cities"

Sanctuary No More
Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds signed legislation recently banning sanctuary city policies in the State of Iowa.

Senate File 481 directs state law enforcement agencies to fully comply with detainer notices issued by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and bars local entities from adopting or enforcing any policy that "discourages the enforcement of immigration laws."

After the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in favor of a Colorado baker who refused to bake a wedding cake for a gay couple, there was a thunderous celebration from all corners of the United States.

The evangelical community declared the 7-2 decision a win for religious freedom, while their supporters hailed the decision as the start of a new beginning.

President Duterte Putting UN Expert In their Place

President Duterte
Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte lashed out last 3 June at another U.N. human rights expert for making critical remarks about his supposed role in the expulsion of the chief justice, telling him "to go to hell."

Duterte dismissed the remarks of Diego Garcia-Sayan and told him not to meddle in domestic problems. Duterte was replying to a reporter's question before flying on a visit to South Korea.

A Black Woman in Texas Sought For False Abuse Claims

A black woman could face charges for falsely accusing a state trooper of sexual assault who had arrested her for drunk driving, Texas authorities said.

Sherita Dixon-Cole, 37, of Grapevine, Texas, was stopped in her white Chevrolet Malibu early morning last 20 May by Texas Department of Public Safety officer Daniel Hubbard, who said in an affidavit that her driving was "erratic and unsafe for the roadway" and it took "several miles" to pull over the vehicle. Hubbard said he administered multiple field sobriety tests and found what he believes was vodka in two open containers in the backseat and a cup in the driver's seat of Dixon-Cole's car.

Help For A Missing 24-Year-Old

Albert Erik "Ben" Villanueva, a graduating student of Kalayaan College in Cubao, Quezon City, has gone missing last April 30, and his parents are asking for help on social media.

His father Enrique said the 24-year-old was last seen on a compound at no. 124 Scout Limbaga Street near the corner with Scout Ybardolaza Street, Brgy. Sacred Heart, Quezon City.
