"Girls should never have to feel uncomfortable in their own locker room," Sadie Sullivan, a swimmer at Wenatchee High School, said last week at Garden City Academy.

Social Media History Will Be Required In U.S. Visa Application

Foreign visitors who are eligible to enter the United States without a visa may soon be required to provide the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) with significantly more personal information, including details about their social media activity, email accounts and family background.

According to a notice published last 10 December in the Federal Register, US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is proposing to collect up to five years of social media data from travellers from certain visa-waiver countries.

Matt Van Epps Wins Tennessee Special Election

Majority of voters in Tennessee decided to elect Republican Matt Van Epps to fill a vacant U.S. House of Representatives seat, U.S. media outlets reported, padding the narrow lead by President Donald Trump's party in the chamber heading into next year's midterm elections.

Van Epps, a former commissioner of the Tennessee Department of General Services, defeated Democratic state Representative Aftyn Behn, outlets including the Associated Press and NBC News announced. Van Epps will fill the seat vacated by former Representative Mark Green, who resigned in July. The Middle Tennessee district includes parts of Nashville.

CNN anchor Jake Tapper referred to the Washington, D.C., pipe bomb suspect as a "White man" last 4 December during his coverage of the breaking news, shortly before airing the man's picture that showed he was Black.

Brian Cole Jr. of Woodbridge, Virginia, was arrested nearly five years after he allegedly placed pipe bombs outside the RNC and DNC headquarters in Washington, D.C., on the eve of the 6 January 2021, riot on Capitol Hill.

President Donald Trump administration will require millions of low-income people to reapply for food stamps as part of an effort to crack down on "fraud," Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins said.

Rollins told Newsmax last 13 November that she plans to "have everyone reapply for their benefits, make sure that everyone that’s taking a taxpayer-funded benefit through ... food stamps, that they literally are vulnerable and they can’t survive without it."
