Why is GMA7 Silent on this Attempted Rape Case?

QCPD Kamuning
Finally, the man suspected of abducting and attempting to rape a minor, 13-year-old-student of Ramon Magsaysay High School in Cubao, has been identified. Police has just filed cases against Jose Carlos Rosales in Quezon City after they tracked down the car he was using when he allegedly seized his teenage victim.

Quezon City Police District's (QCPD's) Kamuning Station said that the alleged victim was able o remember the license plate – ZRD-461 – of the red Honda Jazz once registered to GMA7 network driven by the man last 1 July 2013.

According to the GMA7 network management, the car had already been sold to sales director Maria Teresa Paula Rosales, who has yet to transfer the car’s registration papers to her name.

Nothing irregular with this transaction between GMA7 and their employee, but what irked many netizens is the alleged refusal of Ms. Rosales to cooperate with the probe. Worse, there are no words or statements from GMA7 regarding their action towards this inappropriate behavior of one of their employees in order to solve a criminal investigation.

How about you try to go to the GMA7 network site now? Check out any articles there that reports about the identity of the suspect and his relationship with the GMA7 employee. Do you see any posts about it aside from this useless statement? Why the apparent silence on this issue? You're guess is as good as mine, but I think we can surmise one or two reasons for this.

Fortunately, the police were able to narrow down the number of Ms. Rosales' male relatives who may have access to the cart and found it parked at Jose Carlos’ house in Project 2.

"When we showed a picture of Jose Carlo Rosales along with that of several other men to the victim, she immediately pointed to Rosales’ picture and said it was him," an investigator told the Philippine Daily Inquirer.

Over the weekend, another girl, aged 12, came forward claiming she too was abducted on 10 February 2013 on K-7th Street in Barangay West Kamias, Quezon City, by the driver of a red car that had a similar license plate.

When shown photos, she also identified Rosales as the man who tried to rape her. But the QCPD's Anonas station, which is handling the second complaint, has yet to file formal charges.
