When we reported earlier that Josefina Tallado left her husband, Camarines Norte Gov. Edgardo Tallado, after confrontation over an alleged nude photos, we were not sure that there will be an incriminating evidence to support that allegation.
A day later, social media found itself acting as the supplier of evidence when a alleged photo of the Governor was posted smiling and kissing an unnamed almost naked female companion.
Is that the Governor in the picture? Who is that woman? Is Ms. Tallado aware of the alleged relationship? What will the son of the Governor will say after initially not believing the story of her mother? Ms. Tallado was not forthcoming with the answers, but in an exclusive interview on ABS-CBN's Umagang Kay Ganda, she said she had long known about her husband's infidelity but had endured it.
She was also surprised when her husband accused her of posting a naked picture of his mistress on Facebook. During the confrontation, she said her husband was hiding a gun tucked behind him.
"Ang nangyari po nun nung Miyerkules na kinonfront niya ako, may baril po akong nakita sa likuran niya. Yun yung alam kong anytime baka patayin niya ako," she said.
"Noon ko lang nakita ang ganung mukha at ganung galit sa kanyang mukha," she added.
She said she was also shocked when an unknown person came to her bedroom last week.
Atty. Lorna Kapunan, Tallado's lawyer, said the governor destroyed his wife's laptop using the gun.
"She's never seen this in the husband. Ang picture kasi napaka-compromising. Yung mistress nakahubad at masturbating. Matindi yun. Napahiya si Governor at napahiya yung mistress kaya siya ang napagbintangan."
Efforts to mediate the conflict between the two have failed and Ms. Tallado was able to secure a temporary barangay protection order that will prevent the Governor from approaching her.
The Governor has also denied the allegations leveled at him by Ms. Tallado, but has yet to issue an official statement regarding the photos above.
