The Seattle Mayor who last year urged residents to boycott Starbucks, acknowledged that she recently purchased a latte from the company but declined to say whether she still believes others should shun the coffee giant.

"I had the pleasure of visiting the Pike Place Market Starbucks a little while ago, and I ordered, I think it was a blueberry muffin latte that was like a staff creation," Mayor Katie Wilson said during an interview published recently with FOX 13 Seattle co-anchor Hana Kim, who had asked Wilson if she still supports a boycott of Starbucks.

Catholic nuns who have spent more than a century caring for the dying poor women are suing New York Gov. Kathy Hochul, saying a new state law could force them to choose between their faith and their mission or face fines, loss of licensing and even jail time.

"We are consecrated religious Sisters and have one mission," Mother Marie Edward, O.P., told Fox News Digital in a statement. "It is to provide comfort and skilled care to persons dying of cancer who cannot afford nursing care. We do not take insurance or government funds or money from our patients or families. The care is totally free."

The U.S. Supreme Court extended an order last 26 September that allows President Donald Trump's administration to keep frozen nearly US$ 5 billion in foreign aid, handing him another victory in a dispute over presidential power.

With the three liberal justices in dissent, the court's conservative majority granted the Republican administration’s emergency appeal in a case involving billions of dollars in congressionally approved aid. President Trump said last month that he would not spend the money, invoking disputed authority that was last used by a president roughly 50 years ago.

The court granted the Justice Department's request last 6 May to lift a federal judge's nationwide order blocking the military from carrying out Trump's prohibition on transgender servicemembers. The Republican president's directive was one of a series of steps he has taken to curb transgender rights.
