Cracking down illegal aliens in the United States has picked up steam. As long as there is an illegal immigrant living or trying to hide from authorities, ICE will not stop in hunting them down and throwing them to the dogs.
Both sides of the fence will continue to argue their case. Many will cheer for deportation, while the very few will find the enforcement of immigration laws brutal and inhumane. This is already expected after President Donald Trump won the election.
It may be difficult at first, especially in deporting the parents of "Dreamers", but it is the law. The law is clear: the days of undocumented immigrants getting a free pass are over.
Some will say, "we have immigration problems that must be addressed, and there is nothing wrong with detaining and deporting those who are genuine criminals. But is it really necessary to round up immigrants in such a heartless manner and to instill fear in an entire community?"
The answer is a resounding YES. The law should be implemented no matter who gets hurt. Ignorance of the law excuses no one.
