Ilhan Omar's Hatred For Christians Backfired

Last Easter, backlash ensued over Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, D-Minn, after she vehemently criticized Christians for singing a worship song mid-flight.

"I think my family and I should have a prayer session next time I am on a plane. How do you think it will end?" she tweeted, alongside a video captioned "Worshipping Jesus 30,000 feet in the air!"

In the video, a man can be seen playing the guitar while a group of young passengers sing along. Several older passengers looked less than amused by the display.

"Oh good lord it’s clearly a charter flight. No masks, but sure, let's make an issue and on Easter no less," political strategist Jason Osborne responded to Omar's comments.

"Why does this person who lives free and liberated because of the compassion of our country not appreciate that we’re a Judeo-Christian society uniquely founded to protect those of all faiths?" asked radio host Joe Pags Pagliarulo. "Why does she constantly denigrate the place that offered her so much? Praying for her."

Vernon Jones, a former Democrat who is now running as a Republican to be Georgia’s next governor, blasted Omar for allegedly hating Christians.

"Why do you hate Christians, Ilhan?" Jones asked. "If the freedom of religion we enjoy here in America disturbs you, feel free to pack your bags and head back to Somalia, Sudan, or wherever you’re from. Take your brother with you."

Cicely Davis, a GOP candidate seeking to replace Omar in the upcoming midterms, challenged Omar's sentiment as well, pointing out how in Qatar, airlines play Islamic prayers on the intercom before takeoff and have a designated prayer area.

"It's no problem," Davis said. "The issue is you hate Christians and Jews and lots of Muslims."

The man playing the guitar in the video, Jack Jensz Jr., posted the video to Instagram on April 9, according to TMZ. Jensz is the founder of Kingdom Realm Ministries, a group that has reportedly been traveling around Europe to support refugees fleeing Ukraine amid Russia’s attack on their country.
