Republican presidential candidate, businesswoman Carly Fiorina, may have drew raves from Republican and conservative observers last 16 September with her answer to a question that dealt with the debate over funding for Planned Parenthood, but it does not mean she is right or telling the truth.

The former HP CEO sparred with other candidates during the CNN Republican presidential debate at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum and pushed strongly to defund the organization, even if it leads to a government shutdown. Planned Parenthood has come under intense scrutiny after the release of undercover videos that show Planned Parenthood executives discussing using aborted fetuses for research.

Trump Just Put CNN in an Awkward Position

Real-estate developer and U.S. presidential front-runner Donald Trump wrote a letter to CNN boss Jeff Zucker on 9 September that put the news organization in a pretty tight and uncomfortable situation, which is good.

Trump called for Zucker to donate the profits from next week's presidential debate to charity.

Men Are Way Better Than Women in Military

Immigration Commissioners Faces Serious Charges

Three former commissioners of the Bureau of Immigration (BI) in the Philippines and six others are facing charges for ordering the deportation of a convicted foreigner.

Ombudsman Conchita Carpio Morales found probable cause to indict former Immigration commissioners Teodoro Delarmente, Roy Almoro and Jose Cabochan for violation of Section 3(e) of Republic Act No. 3019 (Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act). It stems from the irregularities in the issuance of medical passes and Summary Deportation Order (SDO) in favor of a certain Vo Van Duc, a suspected terrorist convicted of unlawful manufacture and possession of explosives.

PHL's Commitment to Refugees

A few months ago, the Philippine government said that it was willing to accommodate 3,000 Rohingyas seeking refuge from political persecution. The statement came in the heels of the country's commitment to the 1951 Convention Relating to the Status of Refugees. The Philippines was also continuing a tradition of reaching out to victims of suffering all over the world.

Since May 2015, thousands of Rohingyas, Muslim migrants from Myanmar, have been going back and forth some Southeast Asian countries—particularly Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia—to flee from severe persecution, human trafficking and strong hostility in their homeland. Called as the "boat people," some Rohingyas were stuck at sea trying to find a country that would help them in their plight. Others starved while others died.
