Ugandan Economy Gets Boost After Enacting Anti-Gay Law

Ugandan Economy
After several decades of political turmoil, Uganda is bouncing back fast. Thanks to its ant-gay law, the country is drawing tourists again and is emerging as the rising star in the safari world.

It's a trickle at present – the high-end travelers and backpackers who are always the early adopters – those who are supporting the country's recently imposed anti-gay laws, which is considered a saving grace of morality in Africa.

'Sorry' Should Not Excuse Crimes Against Children

Child Abuse
Two cases of blatant child abuse happened last 29 July 2014. As if the two incidents are not serious enough, no charges or appropriate cases were taken by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) because most of the employees are allegedly enjoying their holiday.

Can anybody explain how an agency tasked to protect the most vulnerable sectors of society not designate personnel that could take action whenever it is called for?

Stop The War in Gaza

Child Victim of War
We need to put a stop to the war between the Israeli Army and the Hamas Islamist in Gaza. The tiny strip of land, of close to 2 million people living densely packed, has seen the violence inflicted on civilians.

And who among the civilians are most vulnerable and greatly affected? No doubt in most rational minds that it is the children. It doesn’t matter whether the Israelis cannot adopt a more forensic strike or identify a precise target. It is also of small concern on whether the Hamas are using civilians as human shield or not.

Anti-RH Groups Still Cling To Illogical Arguments

Illogical Arguments
The anti-RH Law advocates are still not aware or refuse to buckle down and acknowledge the fact that the measure was considered constitutional by the highest court of the land. The legal defeat has definitely thoroughly discredited the extremist ideologues and intellectual zealots, but they still refuse to see it that way.

The hardliners within their ranks argued that with the penal provisions struck down, the RH Law has become a “toothless” law. They even cited as an example that if a company refuses to pay for the condoms for its employees, they cannot be brought to court for this refusal.
