NEDA Director Guilty of Sexual Harassment

On 10 November 2014, the Sandiganbayan fifth division has convicted a former director of the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) in Central Visayas for sexually harassing a female subordinate, the Office of the Ombudsman said.

Jose Romeo Escandor, a former director of NEDA Region VII, was slapped with a laughable PhP 20,000 fine without a jail term since he was also convicted of similar offense in October 2013 by the court's third division.

Californian Gay Spreading HIV/AIDS

There is a gay man in San Diego accused of intentionally infecting spreading HIV, and dozens of men say they were his victims.

A report from CBS News 8 said that Thomas Guerra, 29, has been charged by the San Diego City Attorney's Office with one count of willfully exposing himself, as an infectious individual, to another person, but prosecutors say more charges may be added if more victims come forward.

Vladimir Putin Ranks 10th Most Admired by Americans

Every year since 1946, research group Gallup has asked Americans to name the living man or woman they most admire.

The top vote-getters for 2014, announced recently, were no surprise: Barack Obama claimed victory in the male category for the seventh straight year, while Hillary Clinton extended her even more impressive run as "most admired woman" for the 17th time in the last 18 years, a record for the survey.

Souvenir Papal Shirts Pulled From Shelf

One souvenir T-shirt meant to pay tribute to Pope Francis’ upcoming visit to the Philippines was just pulled from shelves after drawing disapproval from Catholic leaders, who described the shirt as “misleading.”

A good example of this happened a few days ago after some left-leaning pretenders of social justice slammed the Philippine government for not doing more to save a Filipino who was beheaded for murder in Saudi Arabia.
