Tony Meloto's Statements Degraded Women

The University of Hawaii Center for Philippine Studies has just slammed Gawad Kalinga founder Tony Meloto for his alleged degrading remarks about women in a speech he delivered during an anniversary event there last April 2015.

The University of Hawaii Center for Philippine Studies found it disturbing Meloto’s belief that "the greatest asset of the Philippines is our beautiful women." Meloto allegedly went on to say that they can be used to entice the "best and brightest" men in the West to invest in the country.

This is what happened when "Human Barbie" Valeria Lukyanova posted brand-new photos of herself via Facebook last week to welcome spring. She later had to respond to her haters and body critics on after they posted their jealous comments.

In her latest seasonal shoot, the Internet sensation — famed for her porcelain face, Barbie-like proportions, and controversial quotes — appeared even ‘more perfect’ than usual. The Eastern European model showed off her uber-tiny physique in a too-small navy bustier bra and skimpy faded shorts.

Undermining Peace
Chinese island-building efforts "may undermine peace, security and stability" in the disputed South China Sea, said a statement by Southeast Asian leaders meeting for a summit last 27 April.

The statement, yet to be publicly released, was prepared on behalf of leaders of the 10-member Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) gathering in Malaysia for an annual meeting.

An Open Letter Blasting the Veloso Matriarch

A few days ago, Filipina drug convict Mary Jane Veloso was given a last-minute temporary reprieve by the Indonesian government from a possible firing squad. This was made possible after President Benigno Aquino III met with his Indonesian counterpart, President Joko Widodo.

The Indonesian Attorney General confirmed that the plea of President Aquino paved the way towards postponement of the execution. The Philippine government floated the idea of using Mary Jane as a witness against the drug syndicate.
